CB Trae Waynes, Michigan State
Age: 22
Height: 6-0
Weight: 186

College Career: Fourth-year junior was a two-year starter at Michigan State who chose to forgo his senior season. Was first-team All-Big Ten in 2014. Tallied six interceptions in his two years as a starter.

Strengths: Rare frame and length for a corner. Top-end agility allows him to flip hips and run with the fastest receivers. Can matchup man-to-man against big receivers.

Weaknesses: Not a takeaway machine. Will need to bulk up at next level. Needs to cut down on mistakes and missed tackles.

Bears Outlook: Cornerback is not a top need for the Bears and Waynes would be a reach at No. 7 overall. He would provide tremendous value in the second round, but will not fall that far. Waynes is probably only in play for the Bears if they end up trading back.
