S Cody Prewitt, Ole Miss
Age: 22
Height: 6-2
Weight: 208

College Career: Three-year starter at Ole Miss racked up 12 interceptions, five forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries in his college career. Was a first-team All-American in 2013 and a second-team All-American in 2014. All-SEC in 2014 too.

Strengths: Good size and length. Great instincts and ball skills for the free safety position. At Senior Bowl, showed ability to sniff out fakes in the backfield and meet ballcarriers in the backfield. Comes with a ton of playing experience in the SEC.

Weaknesses: Looks vulnerable in man-coverage. Needs to work on rush moves when blitzing. Athleticism won’t test of the charts.

Bears Outlook: The Bears still have a great need for a true centerfield safety who can create takeaways. What Prewitt lacks in speed and athleticism, he makes up for with his instincts and play-making ability. He’s a competitive player who always ends up around the ball. Prewitt ranks higher than Landon Collins on this list because he’s a better fit as a free safety. He should be available to the Bears in the second round with the 39th overall pick.
