Live from Riot Fest! Kevin and Michael welcome the progressive and heart-pounding rock group, Balance and Composure to this episode of Sound Sessions.
Jon Simmons (vocals, guitar) and Bailey Van Ellis (drums, programming) discuss the state of today’s rock music scene – eloquently bringing up the obvious – that “rock music needs help”. They continue that while R & B and Hip Hop music continually push new and emerging artists a lot of the music heard today remains stagnate as far as new artists playing rock music. They also explain the logistics of playing a festival the size of Riot Fest and the pro’s and con’s of today’s hard rock-scene. The group also makes comparisons between the type of sound coming out of Philadelphia and Chicago and fan experiences when coming through the city. Listen in and hear them discuss the next steps for Balance and Composure as they keep their cool through their meteoric rise to rock royalty.
Check out the new album Light We Made and see them on tour right now!
