Sound Sessions caught up with a legend in the world of hip-hop, Sen Dog of the group, Cypress Hill.

Michael and Kevin welcome the iconic multiplatinum artist, Sen Dog reflecting on 25 years of lighting it up with the group Cypress Hill.  In the interview we go back to the very beginning of his career and listen to the steps he needed to take as a new artist in the music industry (Lot’s of McDonalds and Waffle House visits from the start).  He also shares advice to up and coming musicians who want to make their break into the industry – Saving money, being true to yourself, and never straying from your vision are key to success.  Sen Dog also shares his first purchases made after dropping his first platinum record and financial advice he wish he would have shared with his younger self.  We also touch on what inspired Cypress Hill to collaborate with heavy metal artists to make some of their biggest hits including “Rock Superstar“.  And did we mention Sen Dog may have went to school with a legendary heavy metal drummer?

Really enjoyed this interview and looking back at the mind-blowing career of Cypress Hill.  Take a listen and enjoy this interview with hip-hop icon, Sen Dog.
