Brooks Neilson, Anthony Perry, and Matt Taylor of The Growlers joined us in-studio to discuss their latest album, Chinese Fountain. The band is well-known for creating their own genre, named Beach Goth, which combines surf, rock, country, and folk to create a unique aesthetic, one that is reflective of the band’s Southern California roots and melancholy attitudes. They shared stories about surfing in Lake Michigan, notably during winter, and touring endlessly year after year.
