I’m having a baby. If you were unaware of that, I’m glad you’re taking the time to check this out. If you were aware, that’s probably because of my Dad’s show so allow me to say thank you. Thank you for the comments, texts, tweets, and all the support for my soon-to-be growing family. Growing up as the son of a WGN Talk-Show host, I was used to my personal life being on the air. Having said that though, you all blew me away with the amount of support you showed to me and my father. My Dad’s pretty excited, but not nearly as excited as my wife and I are to start our family in Chicago.

Having said all of that… Allow me to answer a few questions… because if I’ve learned anything within the first 18 weeks of becoming a Dad for Life… it’s that everyone has the same questions.

1. Yes we’re excited. (Even if we felt differently, how else are we supposed to answer THAT question?)

2. My wife is feeling good. By far the biggest blessing of all of this is that my wife and my baby have remained healthy.

3. The baby is due December 20th, and my family has a ton of December birthdays. When my wife and I told one of my relatives, she congratulated us and then said, “really guys… we needed something else to do in December?”

4. Yes we’re finding out the gender.

5. No you can’t change our minds about that.

6. Yes we have a few names picked out.

7. No we aren’t sharing them. I don’t want to hear about how the name we’re considering for our first child happens to be the name of someone who was mean to you when you were 12.

8. Yes it was planned and yes you’ve made it weird by asking that question.

9. No I’m not freaked out. Yes I have a lot to learn.

10. Yes I am a very lucky man because I’m going through this with my wife.

Hope that covers your questions. I’m looking forward to going through this “with” all of you!
