WR Kevin White, West Virginia
Age: 22
Height: 6-3
Weight: 215

College Career: Former JUCO transfer struggled to get going in 2013, but came on strong as a senior in 2014, catching 109 passes for 1,447 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Strengths: Big NFL body that is complimented with strength and adequate speed. Always looks to pick up extra yards after the catch.  Competes for the football and high-points it. Good route-runner with room to improve. Showed better concentration and improved hands as a season. Huge upside.

Weaknesses: Not as accomplished as some of the other receivers in the draft. Route-running needs polishing. Will have a big adjustment creating space at the line of scrimmage after playing in so much space at West Virginia. Blocking needs to improve.

Bears Outlook: The Bears hosted White on a visit to Halas Hall and wide receivers coach Mike Groh worked him out at his Pro Day. That’s enough evidence to say the Bears have genuine interest in the West Virginia wideout and they could use him after trading Brandon Marshall to the Jets. But are Ryan Pace and John Fox willing to ignore their defensive needs to take White No. 7 overall? It’s possible.
