Barn Dance was wholesome music and humor with a country sound. The program moved to WGN Radio in 1960 (from WLS, where it debuted in 1924). It aired on WGN Radio and TV on Saturday nights until 1969. Barn Dance featured performers included host Dolph Hewitt, Red Blanchard, Bob Atcher, Arkie, the Arkansas Woodchopper, the Johnson Sisters, Bob and Bobbie Thomas, Cousin Tilford, and the Sage Riders.
