Suzanne can’t stop running things. In addition to 10 marathons, she’s run four successful companies, and they all focus on finding the smartest, fastest way to get big ideas positioned for the markets they deserve.   She mentors Chicago entrepreneurs at 1871, Impact Engine and TechStars. She tries to mentor Rachel’s, but that’s a lifelong project.

  • Founding Partner and Lead Strategist at Frequency540, a strategic communications agency that acquired the company she founded, ROI Ventures (Return on Inspiration)— a strategy firm that packaged social impact for the marketplace
  • With Rachel, launched and developed ROI Ventures’ incubator (Return on Inspiration Labs, LLC) and its media division (ROI Distributed, LLC), which produced their radio show, The Dirty Truth (on LTRN)
  • CEO of Civitas, a communication and marketing firm for the early childhood field that was founded by the former president of Harpo Entertainment
  • At Teach For America, she rose from being a Charter Corps Member in the South Bronx to being Vice President for National Programs.
  • Graduated from Tufts University
  • Inducted into the Chicago Entrepreneur Hall of Fame in 2012
  • Frequent public speaker and guest lecturer at Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management and the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago
  • Member of the Wexner Heritage Foundation, member of the Board of Advisors and Board of Directors of the Chicago Children’s Museum
